About

Three Day Intensive Training Course in Indian Head Massage
(Champissage) with Barbara McAteer
(Accredited Tutor from The London Centre of Indian Champissage International)

DATES : 22nd & 23rd July and 3rd refresher day to follow for full day of practice
LOCATION: River Holistic Centre, Raheny, Dublin 5

Indian Champissage includes massage of the shoulders, upper arms, neck, scalp, face, ears and energy balancing. The late Narendra Mehta, MBE and author of the bestselling book “Indian Head Massage” who founded the London Centre of Indian Champissage in 1995 developed this method. It is based on the traditional form of Champi (head massage) practised in India for over 1,000 years and is a wonderfully relaxing therapy. The massage is safe, simple to learn and very effective to give, without the need to undress or use oils.
It can provide relief from aches and pains, stress symptoms, insomnia, promote hair growth, soothe, comfort and rebalance your energy flow, giving you a deep sense of peace, calm and tranquillity.

AIMS AND STRUCTURE OF THE COURSE
The aim of the course is to provide a comprehensive grounding in the theoretical basis and practical application of Indian Champissage (Head Massage). Students will be able to use the technique as a principal or subsidiary part of their professional practice.
This course is structured over four days:
Three day Intensive Training Course & One Exam Day
Exams are done on a one to one basis with the tutor and can be arranged to suit your schedule
In order to qualify as a professional Indian Head Massage therapist, you will need to do 5 case studies of 5 treatments before taking a written and practical examination. Once qualified, you will obtain a Diploma from the London Centre of Indian Champissage International (LCICI), which is recognised by major therapy insurance companies.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE
Anyone may attend the 3-day course. It is an excellent introduction to hands-on therapy, whether you want to pursue it professionally or just use it on your friends and family.
Those wishing to use Indian Champissage professionally must complete the case studies and do a written (multiple-choice) and practical examination. Full details of this will be given on the three-day course.
